BOARD The Board is the lower horizontal line marking on the front wall, with the "Tin" beneath it for the full width of the court.

BOX (SERVICE) A square delineated area in each quarter court, bounded by part of the short line, part of the side wall and by two other lines and from within which the server serves.

DOWN The expression used to indicate that an otherwise good return has struck the board or has failed to reach the front wall. ("Down" is used as a Marker's call).

HALF-COURT LINE A line set upon the floor parallel to the side walls, dividing the back of the court into 2 equal parts, meeting the "shortline" at its midpoint, forming the T.

NOT UP The expression used to indicate that a ball has not been struck in accordance with the Rules. "Not up" covers all returns which are not good and are neither "down " nor "out:" - with the exception of "faults" and "footfaults". ("Not up" is also used as Marker's call).

QUARTER (COURT) One half of the back part of the court which has been divided into two equal parts by the half court line.

SERVICE The method by which the ball is put into play by the server to commence arally.

LOB SERVICE OR LOB CROSS COURT Ball hits high at front wall then lands behind service box opposite side preferably hitting high on side wall.

HARD SERVICE Similar to tennis serves. Ball hits hard at front wall then lands in opposite side of court, preferably hitting side wall low.

BOAST Any shot that hits either side walls hitting front wall.

¤Ï¦V°¼Àð²y (Reverse Boast) ±N²y¥ýÀ»¦V¥t¤@¤è¤§°¼Àð©l¼u¦Ü«eÀð¡C

REVERSE BOAST Ball hits side wall other than which you are facing, such as stroking ball behind your body into side wall then ball goes on to front wall.

VOLLEY Ball hits whist still in the air or on the full. The ball does not bounce.

DROPSHOT Ball hits softly to front wall so as to 'drop' softly off front wall near side wall.

CONTINUOUS STROKING OR FIGURE EIGHT Standing on tee hit ball from forehand side to back hand front wall 1 foot in from side wall. This will create the correct angle for the ball to return to the tee. One return hit a backhand shot to the forehand front wall 1 foot in front wall. When played conti9nuously the stroking action is a figure 8 its side.

NICK The nick is the part of the court where the side and back walls meet the floor.

SHORT ANGLE A boast, played from the front of the court. Somewhere approximately two steps forward of the tee.

" T " ¦ì (Tee) ²y³õ¤¤¥¡¦ì¸m , ¦bµu½u¤Î¤¤³õ½u¬Û¥æ¤§³B¡C

TEE The 'tee' is the central part of the court where the half-court and short line meet.

REPETITION ROUTINE Continuous stroking exercise with variation of shots.
